Sometimes the text may be too difficult to read in your web browser. Since I use 3 different browsers (Chrome, IE and Firefox) I always struggle to find the menu where I can increase or decrease the font size. Fortunately, I discovered a nice, universal way to make the font larger or smaller on any web page and in virtually any web browser in Windows, Linux, or MacOS.
Windows & Linux
- Hold down the “CTRL” key on your keyboard while spinning the mouse wheel up to zoom in.
- Hold the “CTRL” key on your keyboard while spinning the mouse wheel down to zoom out.
Don’t have a wheel on your mouse? No problem!
- Hold “CTRL” down while pressing the plus key (+) to zoom in.
- Hold “CTRL” down while pressing the minus key (–) to zoom out.
These options work across most popular web browsers such as Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox.
MacOS
- Hold “Command” down while pressing the plus key (+) to zoom in.
- Hold “Command” down while pressing the minus key (–) to zoom out.

How can I reset the fonts back to default size?
Windows users hold “CTRL” and press zero “0“. MacOS users hold “Command” and press “0“.

I have no idea what I did on my Microsoft Surface laptop to increase the font size, but thank you, CRTL + 0 (zero) set it back to the size it had been.
